Boy_ep is Ryu’s first release for dotContemporary and what a label debut! The EP features 7 songs and clocks in at around 30 mins. The EP is a strange (but superb) mixture of avantgarde, electronic, pop and experimental music and there’s a certain playfulness, energy and sparkle to it. In the end, it all comes together in a lovely and charming way that forms a really coherent and vibrant release. We here at dotContemporary think that it’s one of the best releases this year – hands down:
